This is my favorite seasonal fall treat! Enjoy it spread on fruit, veggies, or rice crackers.
Spiced Apple Pumpkin Butter

Ingredients
- 6 apple or combination of apple and pear, sliced
- 1/2 cup 120.00 ml pumpkin puree canned or fresh
- 1/2 cup 120.00 ml unsweetened milk substitute
- 1/2 cup 120.00 ml pecans or walnuts, chopped
- 1 Tbsp 14.79 ml vanilla extract
- 2 tsp 9.86 ml cinnamon
- 1 tsp 4.93 ml nutmeg
- 1/8 tsp 0.62 ml sea salt
Instructions
- Put the sliced apples in the crockpot.
- In a separate bowl, combine the pumpkin puree, milk substitute, nuts, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg and sea salt. Mix together and spread over the apples in the crockpot.
- Cook on high for 3 hours. Once it is done cooking, let cool for 20 minutes and blend in a food processor or blender so it becomes a smooth consistency.
