Did you forget where you put your keys? Have you recently walked into a room and realized you have no idea why you went there in the first place? Does it seem like you can’t stay focused long enough to get anything done?

It happens to all of us — and not just as we age. If you’re finding this is occurring more and more, it could be the result of stress, fatigue, or just the constant juggling of work, home, and family.

No matter the cause, the nutrients you put in your body can support your brain, your memory retention, and your ability to focus. Yet, getting the right nutrients in sufficient quantities from food alone is next to impossible. There’s really no way to know exactly what levels of nutrients are in the foods we eat.

We also know that many vegetables have fewer nutrients than the ones grown just 50 years ago. This is due to soil depletion, chemical-intensive factory farming, and poor crop rotation practices. You can learn more in this article I wrote about soil depletion.

This is why I formulated Neurolive™. This unique combination of 11 micronutrients supports cognitive function as well as long- and short-term memory in more ways than one. Your brain is so complex and amazing! Let me explain the parts of the brain I focused my efforts on supporting.

What Are the Main Parts of Your Brain?

There are three main parts of the brain that are further divided into subsections. For this discussion, I’ll just quickly touch on these three main parts.

Cerebrum

This is the largest part of your brain. It is responsible for thinking, learning, speech, emotions, and planned muscle movements such as walking and bending, for example. You need memory for all of these functions. The cerebrum also controls your five senses: vision, hearing, touch, taste, and smell which are closely related to memory.

Cerebellum

The cerebellum is located in the lower part of the back of your brain. It is essential to balance, coordination, fine muscle control, and overall equilibrium.

Brain Stem

This is the bottom part of the brain that connects the cerebrum to the spinal cord. It controls the body functions you generally don’t think about. These include breathing, eye movements, blood pressure, swallowing, and even your heartbeat.1

An Interdependent Network

Although these parts of your brain serve different functions, they work together to control all aspects of your body. In fact, the pathways between the parts are absolutely critical for proper brain function. However, as you age, certain parts of your brain can shrink, neural communication and blood flow to the brain can decrease, and inflammation can worsen. These changes can lead to memory loss, confusion, and difficulty doing everyday tasks such as cooking and cleaning.

You CAN prevent unnatural cognitive decline

You can’t completely stop your whole body and brain from aging — it’s a natural part of life! However, you can prevent unnatural cognitive decline and support the health of the neural pathways that allow messages to be sent and received by your brain. Just like the rest of your body, your brain is impacted by the quality and quantity of the nutrients you take in. By supporting your health with brain-boosting nutrients, you can optimize brain function.

Essential Nutrients to Boost Brain Health

Neurolive™ addresses the multiple pathways involved in neurological health. It does this by supporting oxidant and cytokine balance, methylation, mitochondrial function, and endocrine balance.

Many other supplements rely on just a single ingredient. However, after years of research, I realized that the complex tasks of memory creation and recall, as well as focus and mental vigor, require an approach from multiple angles. That’s why I formulated NeuroLive™ with a combination of essential nutrients. Each of them supports optimal brain function in a unique way.

  • Sharp•PS® GREEN, the highest-quality phosphatidylserine, is a patented formula for brain cell membrane support.
  • Ideal levels of B6 and B12 vitamins in their co-enzyme and methylated forms help optimize neurotransmitter balance, methylation, COMT enzyme function, and cognitive function.
  • Quatrefolic®, a patented form of 5-MTHF, is the best form of folate to support appropriate homocysteine levels.
  • The free-radical fighters trans-Resveratrol, NAC, acetyl-l-cysteine, and vinpocetine combine forces to scavenge damaging molecules.
  • Ginkgo biloba and Bacopa monnieri, both powerful herbs, contain brain-specific nutrients that fight damaging free radical activity.
  • Huperzine A, a natural compound that supports the lifespan of cells and optimizes neurons’ defense against oxidative stress.

Who Should Take Neurolive™?

Neurolive™ is an excellent way for almost any adult to support and optimize their brain health and cognitive function. However, I recommend pregnant or nursing mothers do not add this supplement to their regimen until after weaning. It’s particularly beneficial for those experiencing stress and anxiety, as they should be taking extra care in supporting cognition.

Stress can shrink your brain’s prefrontal cortex

When you experience stress, your body produces cortisol. A buildup of this hormone in the brain can wear down the brain’s ability to perform certain functions.2 Chronic stress can kill brain cells and shrink the prefrontal cortex, which is responsible for memory and learning. Even mild amounts of stress negatively impact this part of the brain!3

In addition to those who are stressed or anxious, it’s actually more difficult for older adults to retain or create neural pathways. Neural pathways have a naturally long life, however, they can be damaged by stress, anxiety, and neurological diseases that decrease numbers of neurotransmitters.4

Neurolive™ is also perfect if you:

  • Wish to support balanced oxidant levels in the brain with a free radical fighting solution
  • Need a mental boost to kickstart cognitive function
  • Have trouble focusing
  • Have tried other brain support formulas in the past without success

My physician-formulated Neurolive™ is made with a unique combination of nutrients and botanicals to support the control center of your body. It targets multiple pathways involved in neurological health by supporting oxidant and cytokine balance, methylation, mitochondrial function, and endocrine balance. Neurolive’s multi-pronged approach is the ultimate foundation for optimal brain health and cognitive function.
