Nutritional Benefits: Collagen not only contains beneficial minerals to help build strong skin, hair, and nails but also has been found to help heal a leaky gut. Collagen is rich in glycine (a building block for glutathione) which helps us detoxify from chemical and environmental exposures. Glycine also increases stomach acid (meaning increased digestion and assimilation of nutrients from the foods that we eat) and helps to regulate insulin, balancing out blood sugars and regulating hormones.
