My Giving Program!

Service to others is one of the driving forces behind everything I do. In fact, my team and I are guided by three core values:

SERVE: we go above and beyond to be of service
EFFECT: we actively look for a way to make a positive impact
EMPOWER: we empower people and deliver quality results.

Whether I was starting the first-ever recycling program while an undergraduate at the University of South Carolina or serving in the US Peace Corps in rural Paraguay, service to others has been central to my life.

In fact, service is an integral part of the culture at Amy Myers MD® as well. Two times each year, my entire team participates together in a service activity to benefit our community. Most recently we helped out at the Central Texas Food Bank which delivered 39 million meals to families in need last year.

since 2016, Amy Myers MD® has donated more than $275,000 to dozens of different groups that help make our world a better place.

It’s personal for each one of us! Every team member at Amy Myers MD® has the opportunity to take a fully paid service day to devote to the organization of their choice. What’s more, Amy Myers MD® donates to a non-profit of each employee’s choice each year. These organizations range from animal rescue, literacy initiatives, and veteran’s groups, to children’s hospitals, cancer research, and shelters for the homeless.

Our service goes far beyond scheduled giving. Amy Myers MD® also jumps in wherever the need is greatest, whether it’s supporting rescue efforts for the wildlife ravaged by Australia’s wildfires, assisting families impacted by hurricanes, or sending care packages to hospital staff heroically struggling to care for COVID-19 patients.

I am so proud to let you know that since the inception of my online store in 2016, I have made it my mission to donate a portion of each sale to a wide range of non-profit organizations and foundations. In fact, over the last 4 years alone, Amy Myers MD® has donated over than $275,000 to dozens of organizations that help to make our world a better place.

YOU have a voice in where your donation goes!

I've chosen five non-profit organizations that I have a personal connection with. They are protecting endangered animals, bettering the lives of young women in Africa and orphans in India, helping children with cancer, and supporting university students in need.

I’ve included more details about each organization below.

To select where YOUR DONATION goes is as easy as two quick steps:

  1. Sign into your account
(if you do not have an account you can create one here - it’s free and you receive 500 Rewards just by signing up)
  2. Choose your favorite cause

That's it!

After you've saved your selection, consider yourself partnered with the organization of your choice!

I know many of you in The Myers Way® community share the desire to serve and give, so I think it’s fitting that YOU have a voice in my Giving Program.

A portion of every single purchase you make in my store will then be donated directly to the organization you selected (just be sure to stay logged into your account when you check out).

This adds NO ADDITIONAL COST to your purchase!

It's simply my way of acknowledging your part in supporting these noble organizations.

Let me introduce you to these amazing groups so you can choose one whose mission speaks to your heart.

Re:wild is a remarkable group that aims to protect the most threatened and endangered species in the world. From majestic rhinos to great apes to Swinhoe’s Giant Asian Softshell Turtle (which by the way is the world’s most endangered turtle — I know this thanks to this amazing organization!), Re:wild makes an impact all across our planet’s vast wildlands.

In 2008, I spent a month working in an urban hospital emergency department in South Africa. Afterward, I went on a safari in Botswana. Seeing the “Big 5” in their natural habitat — lions, leopards, elephants, buffaloes, and rhinos — was the most breathtaking and incredible experience. Given today’s climate, I fear that my daughter (or her daughter) may never get to see these and other amazing animals in their natural habitats.

Dr. Amy Myers and the GLOW Foundation establish the Betty Myers Memorial Scholarship African Students helped by the GLOW Foundation Portrait of Betty Myers Memorial Scholarship 2019/2020 Honoree - Jecinta Ann Wanjiru Mwangi

GLOW Foundation provides college scholarships to disadvantaged women in developing countries.

It’s been proven that societies benefit when their women have access to higher education. As a woman with a hard-earned medical degree, it’s a cause I stand behind proudly.

Women are the backbone of society, and the GLOW Foundation gives young women an opportunity and platform where they may otherwise be lost and forgotten.

The Betty Myers Memorial Scholarship was established in 2019, and will be awarded annually to a young woman who has demonstrated leadership and excellence in humanitarian service to her community.

My father, James, was an author, Air Force veteran, and professor of Chinese Politics and American Government at the University of South Carolina for more than 30 years.

My father lost his life to complications of a neuromuscular autoimmune disease in 2017. However, his memory lives on in a scholarship I recently established in his honor at the University of South Carolina.

This merit-based scholarship is awarded by the University’s Office of Undergraduate International Admissions to promising students who have a demonstrated knowledge of Chinese language, history, and culture.

Miracle Foundation supports orphans to have a better quality of life while at the same time bringing about sustainable change that reduces the need for orphanages over time.

For the 10th anniversary of the passing of my mother, Betty, I chose to honor her by raising money in her name. The Betty Myers Kitchen opened in September 2013 and to this day, my mother’s kitchen feeds and nourishes at least 142 orphaned children every day.

The Pablove Foundation helps kids live a love-filled life today and a cancer-free life tomorrow. The Pablove Shutterbugs program teaches children and teens living with cancer to find their creative voice through the art of photography. In addition, Powered by Pablove research grants are awarded to scientists looking for new and novel treatments and cures for pediatric cancers. It's how they fight childhood cancer with love.

Since 2013, my brother, Townsend Myers, has biked more than 500 miles each year to raise awareness of childhood cancer.

With EVERY SINGLE PURCHASE, you’ll make a huge impact on the critical work these incredible organizations do worldwide. And, remember, it’s at NO ADDITIONAL COST to you.

Follow us on Facebook and Instagram so you can receive updates on the wonderful work these organizations are doing. We’ll be making the donations in December and as soon as we do, we’ll be sure to share with you what we have done TOGETHER! Thank you again for your support!
