What Are Xenoestrogens?

Our modern environment is FULL of chemicals that act as xenoestrogens. Xenoestrogens are chemicals and compounds from outside of the body, then when ingested or absorbed, act as weak estrogens in the body. Not to be confused with phytoestrogens from food that sometimes have health benefits, xenoestrogens are chemicals found in everyday personal care products, cookware, plastics, flame retardants applied to mattresses and furniture, and, in general, almost everywhere else you can imagine! Xenoestrogens can Lead to Estrogen Dominance

Xenoestrogens can lead to you body producing excess estrogen. When xenoestrogens enter the body, not only do they exert their unwanted effects on your cells and tissue, as well as burden your liver, they also bind to estrogen receptors in the body, decreasing the amount of estrogen available to cells and tissues that actually need it. This causes your organs to produce even more estrogen in response to your body’s perceived ‘lack’ of estrogen. This excess estrogen can have a variety of impacts, including impacts on body composition, PMS and menopause symptoms, and estrogen balance.†

How Do You Avoid Xenoestrogens?

What can you do about xenoestrogens? While avoiding all xenoestrogens is virtually impossible, changing your diet and lifestyle has a huge impact! Switching to natural personal care products, choosing organic fruits and vegetables as well as sourcing protein from animals raised without chemicals, hormones, and antibiotics can all help. FAQs

What time of day should I take EstroProtect? Should I take it with or without meals?

EstroProtect can be taken at any time of day, with or without meals. I generally have my patients take 2 capsules with breakfast or lunch. If you decide to take it between meals, be sure to have a full glass of water with the capsules.

Is EstroProtect appropriate for teenage girls?

Yes, EstroProtect can be taken by teenage girls, however, I recommend speaking with their physician or endocrinologist to determine if Estroprotect is the right choice for her individual circumstances.

Can men also use EstroProtect? 

Absolutely! Men can also be challenged with a form of estrogen dominance. My EstroProtect formula was also formulated in order to help men overcome estrogen dominance and strike a healthy hormonal balance. Estroprotect will support detoxification, body composition goals, and healthy estrogen metabolism in men just as it does in women! 

Is EstroProtect appropriate for pregnant or breastfeeding women?

I generally do not recommend using my EstroProtect formula while pregnant or breastfeeding. Please speak with your qualified healthcare provider before making the decision to use EstroProtect while pregnant or nursing.
