My Giving Program

Service to others is one of the driving forces behind everything I do. In fact, my team and I are guided by three core values:

  • SERVE: we go above and beyond to be of service
  • EFFECT: we actively look for a way to make a positive impact
  • EMPOWER: we empower people and deliver quality results.

Whether I was starting the first-ever recycling program while an undergraduate at the University of South Carolina or serving in the US Peace Corps in rural Paraguay, service to others has been central to my life.

In fact, service is an integral part of the culture at Amy Myers MD® as well. Two times each year, my entire team participates together in a service activity to benefit our community. Most recently we helped out at the Community First! Village, a 51-acre master planned community that provides affordable, permanent housing and a supportive community for men and women coming out of chronic homelessness.

Since 2016, Amy Myers, MD has donated $275,000 to dozens of groups that make the world a better place.

Our service goes far beyond scheduled giving. Amy Myers MD® also jumps in wherever the need is greatest, whether it's supporting rescue efforts for the wildlife ravaged by Australia's wildfires, assisting families impacted by hurricanes, sending aid to the family devastated by the war in Ukraine or sending care packages to hospital staff heroically struggling to care for COVID-19 patients.

I am so proud to let you know that since the inception of my online store in 2016, I have made it my mission to donate a portion of each sale to a wide range of non-profit organizations and foundations. In fact, over the last 4 years alone, Amy Myers MD® has donated over $275,000 to dozens of organizations that help to make our world a better place.

The Orangutan Project

The Orangutan Project is an international non-profit organization with a key mission; to ensure that endangered wild orangutan species are protected against extinction and will continue to live in secure populations for generations to come.The Orangutan Project supports a wide range of critical projects that address the holistic problem facing fragmented orangutan populations - including fighting deforestation and habitat loss at the highest level.The projects funded by The Orangutan Project not only include direct orangutan conservation - such as orangutan rescue, rehabilitation and release programs - but also forest habitat protection and regeneration, education, research and local community partnerships.

GLOW FOUNDATION

GLOW Foundation provides college scholarships to disadvantaged women in developing countries.It's been proven that societies benefit when their women have access to higher education. As a woman with a hard-earned medical degree, it's a cause I stand behind proudly.Women are the backbone of society, and the GLOW Foundation gives young women an opportunity and platform where they may otherwise be lost and forgotten.The Betty Myers Memorial Scholarship was established in 2019, and will be awarded annually to a young woman who has demonstrated leadership and excellence in humanitarian service to her community.

MIRACLE FOUNDATION

Miracle Foundation supports orphans to have a better quality of life while at the same time bringing about sustainable change that reduces the need for orphanages over time.For the 10th anniversary of the passing of my mother, Betty, I chose to honor her by raising money in her name. The Betty Myers Kitchen opened in September 2013 and to this day, my mother's kitchen feeds and nourishes at least 142 orphaned children every day.
