If you are working to restore your health, start with what is on your plate. High-quality wild-caught fish paired with nutrient-dense herbs and healthy fats can help support your body at the root level.

Wild Caught Fish

I always recommend choosing wild-caught fish over farm-raised options. Wild fish contain a cleaner nutrient profile and fewer contaminants. They are rich in omega-3 fatty acids, which support a healthy inflammatory response and brain function.

White fish such as cod, halibut, and haddock are excellent choices. They are light, easy to digest, and versatile. These options also pair well with bold toppings such as a gremolata sauce.

When selecting fish, look for:

  • Firm texture
  • Mild, fresh scent
  • Clear labeling that states wild-caught

This is a simple step that can make a meaningful difference in your overall health.

Lemon Gremolata

A classic lemon gremolata combines fresh herbs, citrus zest, garlic, and olive oil. This version takes it one step further. It includes seaweed and a clean protein source to enhance both flavor and nutrition.

This gremolata sauce includes:

  • Fresh parsley for antioxidants
  • Lemon zest and juice for brightness
  • Garlic for immune support
  • Olive oil for healthy fats
  • Seaweed flakes for trace minerals
  • A scoop of paleo protein powder for added protein support

The result is a vibrant topping that elevates any simple fish dish.

Benefits of Seaweed for Thyroid

Using seaweed for thyroid support is a powerful and natural approach. Seaweed contains iodine, which plays a key role in thyroid hormone production. It also provides trace minerals that many people lack due to soil depletion.

If you struggle with thyroid imbalance, adding small amounts of seaweed can help support optimal function. Dulse and nori are gentle options that work well in this recipe. Remember to keep intake balanced. A moderate amount, as used here, supports your body without excess.

Gremolata Sauce with Paleo Protein Powder

This recipe also includes a scoop of Unflavored Paleo Protein. This pure protein blend promotes muscle health and satiety. Sourced from grass-fed, non-GMO beef, it contains high-quality collagen that supports healthy joints, hair, and skin. Its hydrolyzed formulation ensures easy mixing and maximized nutrient absorption!

Adding protein powder to a gremolata sauce may seem unexpected. However, it blends seamlessly into the olive oil and lemon juice. The result is a creamy texture with added nutritional value. Protein plays a key role in stabilizing blood sugar and supporting tissue repair. This simple addition turns a flavorful topping into a functional upgrade.
