Frequently Asked Questions

What is Mocha Latte Paleo Protein made of?

Paleo Protein is made from hydrolyzed bovine collagen that comes from happy, pasture-raised cows that graze on fresh green fields in the sunshine. These animals are raised with love and care and are never given unnecessary drugs such as antibiotics, arsenic-based growth promoters, or hormones. They are grass-fed and never fed GMOs, such as genetically modified corn and soy meal.

What time of day should I take Mocha Latte Paleo Protein?

Paleo Protein is perfect any time of the day. While Dr. Myers likes it in her morning smoothies, you can enjoy it at all times of the day. Whether you’re mixing it into your morning coffee or into shakes for dessert for a flavorful protein boost, you’ll find that it’s great around the clock.

Is Mocha Latte Paleo Protein safe for pregnant women, breastfeeding mothers, and children?

While many moms and dads tell me they give Paleo Protein to their kids, I always recommend speaking with your child’s pediatrician or nutritionist if you have concerns about any of the ingredients or adjusting the dosing for them. And, as always, I recommend reaching out to your physician, midwife, or other qualified healthcare practitioner if you have any concerns before using it while pregnant or breastfeeding.

Is Mocha Latte Paleo Protein damaged by heat?

All proteins are damaged by high heat to some extent. Proteins are long chains of amino acids bound together. High heat can potentially fold and warp the amino acid chains into new shapes and structures called amines that may be unusable by the body, or even harmful. This is why you should avoid charring or overcooking meat. The proteins and peptides in my Paleo Protein are quite stable at moderately high temps, so adding it to a hot cup of tea or coffee, or baking it at low temps (below 300F) will not denature it too much.

Can I take Mocha Latte Paleo Protein if I’m allergic to tree nuts?

Paleo Protein contains MCT oil derived from coconuts. Scientifically speaking, coconuts are not tree nuts—they are in fact fruits classified as a “drupe.” Other drupes include palm fruit, peaches, berries, plums, and apricots. However, because the FDA has lumped coconuts in a group with other tree nuts for labeling purposes, we are required to list them as a potential allergen. In fact, true coconut allergy is actually extremely rare with only a few cases reported in the medical literature. If you have a diagnosed tree nut allergy, please speak with your healthcare provider before consuming any products containing coconut.

    My Morning Mocha Latte

This is my most favorite protein powder that I use every day for my Tiramisu Chia Pudding breakfast and protein coffee. The coffee flavor is so delicious that I don’t need to add coffee and I already downed 21 grams of protein for the day. What a strong start!

    love it.

I love the flavor of the Mocha Latte. It's my favorite stand alone flavor almost like a chocolate shake when I add ice and it conceals the flavor of the Tuscan Kale, steamed...that I usually add. I also like the unflavored Paleo Protein and the Salted Caramel flavors.

Great but how did the potassium content get cut in half?

Great flavor but how did the potassium content get cut in half? The new packaging has half the K+ on the nutrient panel.
